Sleep
Dentistry
(sedation) allows dentists to create
a state of relaxation and thus
manage the fear or anxiety patients
may experience during dental
procedures.
Your
comfort is our first concern.
Patients who are sedated inhale
nitrous oxide (laughing gas) through
a mask, and/or may take an oral or
intravenous dosage of sedative
medication. We are dedicated to
making your visit comfortable and
anxiety free.
Sedation
reduces the anxiety that is
typically associated with Dentistry,
and allows the patient to relax. The
temporary amnesia usually associated
with sedation also is a plus for
many patients.
If
you request sedation, your medical
history will be examined and you
will be monitored throughout the
sedation. With sedation, your smile
does not have to suffer from fear of
dental procedures.
